Walker Farms

Terry Walker has been farming since he was five years old, most of it being in Caswell County. He and I have often sat on the back porch of the restaurant to discuss farming, the weather (too much or too little rain), bees, our work ethic, and our grandchildren.

Recently, he allowed me to tour the land where he and his wife Diane have farmed since the 1970s. It is a beautiful property with an old tobacco barn circa 1850, their home, cultivated fields,, and a get-away cabin.
